Midsummer Isle's Dream Collection 2012

It's 1am and I'm up adding finishing touches to orders, projects and preparing for the release of a collection I call "Midsummer Isle's Dream". These designs are filled with color, flair, riddim and a mix of fabrics and metals. I was so inspired by the mix of my Caribbean roots and Urban settings, that I somehow enjoy sketching designs that merges both worlds. I currently have a few of the pieces up and ready for purchase in my SHOP so definitely check it out.

New Shop Update: Saying "I DO' in Style

Hi lovely people... So, I've been so busy with getting things ready for the shop and I'm just about done. I've decided to post the collections on various days this month. Today I've decided to put up the designs from the wedding "You & I" collection on my Etsy shop Mango+Paper+Scissors since the latest requests from brides to be have been pouring in. The fascinators comes in various sizes, colors, styles and can also be customized for your liking. I also created a bridal earring design called "Crystal in Flight", "which is an eye catching pair of earrings that will reflect sunbeams of light to add a lovely glow to your face." POP of COLOR in WINTER

Yes, I watch it's a "Brad, Brad World" on Bravo and I love when he mentions "POP of Color" because I'm a believer of adding color to everything, to my food, my journals and of course my jewelry. Now that it's winter, especially here on the east coast, it's all about chunky scarves, gloves and hats. Everything is over sized and the weather can be gloomy, so for days like this, I love to accessorize with pieces that just POP.
Here are some South African traditional beaded bracelets I wore yesterday to liven up my look! The first bracelet is actually my sister's from The Brooklyn African Street Festival circa 1990. There's that little piece of string I refuse to fix, embracing all the imperfections and wearn'tear that she once wore!So, while we wait for spring and summer days to come, accentuate your daily style with some color and culture! Choose any color off the rainbow, combine, mix, match... it's your life, treat it like a music video you would like to watch everyday!
