4 Great things from Aye' Shanti!

It's a lil chilly out there and I love love autumn colors with my blazer and jeans! So, here's a couple of Great things from Aye' Shanti!

Great thing #1:
With autumn here, and the trees changing colors, of course my designs will take a slight change of color as well. Check out some of these new "African Vibrations" Autumn inspired designs!

I had the opportunity to showcase some Aye' Shanti Pieces at the Sol Natural Hair Show with hairstylist Shireen! The models looked amazing and the pieces just added a touch of Urban/Caribbean vibes!

After the Show comes...

So, after some hard work for a couple of weeks, the fashion show was worth it. Made connections with lots of great Caribbean designers and some lovely clients. Now that I'm playing catch up, I'm organizing some jewelry inspiration ideas for Miami and Trinidad Carnival, some custom designs for OLD/NEW clients, and preparing to work on holiday orders! I'm so excited and thankfully took a week to get my energy back to normal!

Labor Day Weekend: Fashion Show Sneak Peek!!

I'm finally out of the studio but only for a few hours. I've been working so hard in adding the finishing touches to these incredible designs for the Caribbean Fashion Show Extravaganza that's happening in Brooklyn, NY this Saturday! The theme of my segment is all about the beach, the lime, the experience of the Caribbean. Lots of incredible colors, NEW designs, and just awesomeness!! I also, stopped by some mas camps and I'm so impressed with what I'm seeing, especially out the Fatal Angels Camp (I must say Sinfully Sweet is looking GREAT!!)

What a WEEK: Fashion Show Extravaganza & Labor Day Jewelry!

So I know I haven't posted for the last week and a half! After the wonderful feather sale, which was a success, I've been busy finishing up the creations for the fashion show and Carnival jewelry for Labor day , oh yea, and training for a 5k! MADNESS, but I love it!

Also, I'm finishing up some last minute Carnival jewelry for Labor Day! I may even make a piece for myself for the jouvert (IF I HAVE TIME) lol.

Feather SALE & Caribbean Fashion Show!

If you don't know, yesterday was the start of the FEATHER earrings SALE on Mango+Paper+Scissors shoppe! I'm selling some great pieces running from $5-$8 full of colors, styles, and designs... There very light and definitely earrings for my clients who love feather earrings but not the typical dramatic, long, and flowing pieces I usually create.






Look out tomorrow for some of these additional feather designs to be sold and are VERY VERY limited.


These we'll be used in the Caribbean Fashion show that's on September 3rd ... and I'm so excited to give you all a sneak peek! We had a long night finalizing things for the show and some fabulous models to work with! Tickets are available for purchase so I hope to see you there!

Welcome August 2011: Fashion Show, JayBlessed.com Contest, NEW Designs!

Rabbit+Rabbit+Rabbit!! This is the first of month tradition (thank you granny and mum), check out the meaning on Mango+Paper+Scissors and how I've made it such a great accountable tool!






So, the month of August is full of WORK... good WORK! One, I'm preparing for the Caribbean Fashion Extravaganza on Saturday September 3rd, 2011. I did the show last year and this year I'm actually being featured, so you can only imagine the butterflies in my stomach as I finish up the designs. You definitely want to be there because it's full of some great Caribbean designers and of course some never seen before Aye' Shanti designs!! Soooo, if you don't see me in a fete, I'm either in the gym or in my studio working hard!
